Kutztown Small Business Development Center’s 2nd Annual Illuminate Networking Event

Kutztown Small Business Development Center is hosting the 2nd Annual Illuminate Networking event on Wednesday, April 2. Check in is at 5:30 PM and the event is taking place from 6 to 9 PM at the Goggleworks. This event is free to attend, and parking is free as well. Illuminate Reading is your chance to engage in meaningful dialogue, connect with Berks County’s top business leaders, and explore partnerships that will propel your business forward. Hosted by the Kutztown Small Business Development Center in collaboration with Elevate Berks, your one-stop shop for business resources, this premier event is designed to spark innovation, foster strategic networking, and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in our community.

This event will bring together entrepreneurs, small business owners, local resource partners, funders, and more, offering a unique opportunity to expand your network and access the tools needed to grow and succeed. The evening will feature a full dinner, providing the perfect setting to connect with others and build lasting relationships within the local business community. Our Keynote Speaker, Valerie Deneen, a respected small business owner, social media expert, and data trend analyst, will share valuable insights and strategies to help entrepreneurs thrive in today’s fast-paced business environment. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to have professional portraits taken to enhance their personal brand and business image.

CONCERN’s Designer Bag & Gift Card Bingo

Thursday, April 3, 2025

This event benefits CONCERN’s Special Needs Fund, and all proceeds benefit children in foster care. Doors to the Fleetwood Grange open at 5:30 PM, and Bingo starts at 6:30 PM. Non-alcoholic drinks, food, and desserts are available for sale. This event is BYOB. All tickets include 20 regular games of Bingo for gift cards, hot dog, drink, and a door prize ticket. Eighteen games will receive a $50 gift card, and two games will receive a $250 gift card. Special games will be available for purchase for designer bags. Raffle tickets will also be for sale (1 ticket for $2, 3 tickets for $5, 7 tickets for $10, and 17 tickets for $20). Cash and Venmo (for purchases $20 or more) are accepted. Tickets are for sale for $25 in advance or $30 at the door and can be purchased here.

Friends of Brandywine Presents Come Sail Away

Thursday, April 3, Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5, 2025

The Friends of Brandywine was founded in December 2020 by several community members with a simple mission statement of helping students and families in true need in the Brandywine Heights Area School District and Topton, PA community. The nonprofit will be presenting Come Sail Away, a live stage show, on Thursday, April 3, Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5. Doors at the Lyons Fire Company Banquet Hall open at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM. Individual show tickets are available for purchase at $40 per person. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. All proceeds will go directly to the students and families in need in the Brandywine Heights Area School District.
