The Michael H. Wise II Memorial 5K and 1/2 Mile Fun Run is taking place on Sunday, September 27 at Reading Area Community College. Registration opens at 9 AM, the 5K starts at 10 AM, and the 1/2 mile kids fun run begins around 11 AM. A race t-shirt is guaranteed to all 5K pre-entries. Late and day-of race entries will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first served basis. There is a small prize for kids who finish the fun run. Refreshments, great parking, time clock at finish, and instant results all make up this race. This event is being held rain or shine. No refunds or mailed awards. Results will be available at pretzelcitysports.com in 48-72 hours. The cost to enter the 5K is $35 if postmarked by September 7 and $40 after 9/7 and on race day. The cost for the kids fun run is $5. All proceeds benefit Michael H. Wise, II Memorial Foundation, which honors the life of fallen Reading City Police Officer, Michael H. Wise II, who died in the line of duty in June 2004. Questions? CONCERN is hosting their annual Gift Card & Designer Bag Bingo Fundraiser on Thursday, October 1 at the Fleetwood Grange.  Tickets are $25 and include 20 games of Bingo, a hot dog, drink and door prize ticket.
