The American Red Cross of Pennsylvania Rivers is hosting their annual fundraising event, The Pennsylvania Rivers Celebration of Heroes featuring the Berks County Heroes Breakfast on Friday, March 6 starting at 7:15 AM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading. This event is dedicated to honoring the everyday individuals who have demonstrated remarkable acts of courage and kindness, embodying the humanitarian spirit of the American Red Cross. This event will raise essential funds to support the lifesaving services provided by the American Red Cross in our community. Breakfast and networking will take place from 7:15 Am to 8 AM, and the Heroes program will start at 8 AM. The Hamburg Area Education Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Casino Night, Saturday, March 7 from 6 pm – 10 pm. Enjoy poker, blackjack, craps, roulette and money wheel. This event will feature a DJ, a buffet, $100 of casino chips and a cash bar. Celebrity deals, silent auction, raffles, and 50/50. Connections Work, Connections in Action Career Fair is Monday, March 9, 2026 at 9:00 – 12:00 pm. This event helps connect employers with skilled workers. This career fair is open to all individuals seeking employment in the Berks Community with past or present justice involvement. The career fair will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading.
