Making The Switch To Bank Local:
M&M Mechanical LLC.

M&M Mechanical LLC, a family-owned business founded by Jennifer Mott and her husband Mickey in 1997, has grown from a small team of five employees that they originally ran from their basement to a thriving company with 28 staff members. A nod to their positive work environment and company culture, Jennifer notes that “Brian Roberts, one of M&M’s first employees, is still with us today as one of our key team members.”

Over the years, M&M Mechanical has expanded its services. In 2004, they hired a great mater plumber and added plumbing to their services offered. Then around 2008 they began doing residential work. “Our work experience now encompasses HVAC commercial construction and service, residential installations and replacements, as well as service, commercial and residential plumbing projects and service,” explains Jennifer. Their facility off of Park Road in Fleetwood, PA also houses a sheet metal fabrication shop, allowing them to fabricate a lot of the ductwork and other various items for their customers in-house.”

Despite their growth, they’ve always maintained strong ties to their local community in Oley Valley, supporting various local organizations and events like the Oley Valley Community FairAs M&M Mechanical continues to serve the local community, they look forward to a bright future with a strong, locally-minded banking partner in Fleetwood Bank.

The Difference of Banking Local

In early 2024, after years of frustration with a bank that had lost its local touch due to multiple ownership changes, M&M Mechanical made the decision to switch their banking business to Fleetwood Bank. The move was motivated by a desire to return to a more personalized, community-focused banking experience. Jennifer explained the decision, saying, “We had been with another local bank for a long time, and they changed hands a few times. It lost it’s local feel. Each time, it was a little more frustrating… I just felt disconnected a little bit more. We felt banking decisions weren’t in our best interest any more.”

The transition to Fleetwood Bank was guided by Kevin, Curin, Jess, and other members of the Fleetwood team, who provided hands-on support every step of the way. “I know I can call on them for help and will get answers quickly. They are real people who know us,” Jennifer explains.

The first priority was establishing a line of credit, followed by opening checking and savings accounts, setting up direct deposit for payroll, and implementing the Positive Pay system — a tool Jennifer particularly appreciates for its ease of use and enhanced security.

Jennifer Mott emphasized the value of Fleetwood Bank’s customer service, sharing how impressed she was with the personal attention her business receives. Whether it’s a quick phone call or an email, she knows she can rely on Fleetwood Bank’s team for prompt, effective responses. Another plus that she loves about banking locally with Fleetwood? The ease of ordering checks. “Fleetwood Bank prints their checks in-house just down the road from us, so we get them in a day or two.” This level of service, combined with the bank’s commitment to local decision-making, solidified M&M Mechanical’s satisfaction with their choice to bank locally.

"All the business loan decisions are made locally. It’s not some big group of hotshots sitting in a fancy office somewhere that don’t know us. It’s local people who know our business. They know us, our ways, and our mindset. They already know what I want instead of having to re-explain the situation each time."
